Love this!

Found in one of his many notebooks where he repeatedly wrote down aspirational quotes and words.

Written in the last few years, as he calls himself Big George (his grandchildren called him this) and his writing looks quite shaky.

Good bless, God love and God keep him,  as my mum used to say.  God bless and keep them both.  We were so lucky to have them as parents. My only wish is that they are reunited,  he thought and talked about her every day. xxx

My mum used to say if you find a man one tenth as good as your father you'll be a very lucky girl. I used to roll my eyes, but I can see what she meant now. He had his faults, but overall he was an extremely good man.
